POSITION SUMMARY

The Graphic Designer is a mid-level position that works under the supervision and guidance from the Senior Brand Creative Lead. This position is part of a team responsible for designing print and digital assets to support in-restaurant, digital and field marketing efforts. The ideal candidate is experienced in both print and digital-forward design, combining the use of technology and graphic design to create media meant to be viewed on a screen or digital interface. You are a master at time management, focused, detail-oriented, organized, flexible, a team-player, and can take feedback in stride. You have a meticulous eye and attention to detail, and can multi-task to meet multiple deadlines while maintaining quality control in our fast-paced department.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create print and digital layouts to support corporate-wide and localized marketing initiatives.
  • Create and review mechanicals. Prepare projects for final delivery for press and digital usage including pre-flighting, typesetting and layout adjustment.
  • Follow the established creative development process, art direction and technical feedback in a professional manner to accomplish projects within the specified timeframe.
  • Work hands on with the Sr. Brand Creative Lead on various campaigns and creative projects.
  • Manage multiple projects with multiple deadlines effectively and communicates often with supervisor and creative team on status updates.
  • Work within established Brand standards; is a Brand steward and will uphold Brand standards across all channels and projects.
  • Re-format and re-size existing art files to create new print-ready or web-ready assets.
  • Adjust, manipulate, edit, and compose multiple images with precision and in a timely manner.
  • Build templates for digital asset management platform library.
  • Mentor, assist and provide feedback as needed to junior designers and intern.
  • Correct typography usage, layout, reading priority, color story where appropriate.
  •  Proactive in problem solving and bringing solutions when questions arise.
  •  Has keen ability to ask the right questions to get to the source of a creative problem.
  •  Keep tabs on development and latest design trends.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Art, Graphic Design, or related field.

 

Experience:  5+ years of graphic design experience preferred; recently worked in a corporate or agency environment at least 2 years within a team of at least 2 or more designers; Macintosh design experience is a must. Design portfolio required for consideration.

 

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud specifically InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, and Microsoft 365.
  • Understands creative workflow, file management and time management on platforms such as Box, Basecamp, and Brandfolder.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • An appreciation for Mexican culture and food and skills in illustration and/or animation is a plus.

 

Physical Requirements –Ability to operate a computer, i.e., desktop, laptop, tablet, etc. Ability to speak/hear clearly in person and on the telephone. Ability to work efficiently in open environment. Ability to travel within the facility or offsite.

Work Environment – Ability to work in a hybrid capacity (3 days in office / 2 days work from home).

Pay Range: $65,000-$75,000
