Arconic is currently in search of Environmental Engineer to join our team in Lancaster, Pennsyvlania.

Primary Responsibilities 
  • Provide leadership and direction to the operation to ensure that the facility achieves a level of environmental excellence consistent with Arconic's values and goals to include sustainability and corporate responsibility to protect and sustain the environment and all natural resources
  • Provide topic expertise to facility regarding compliance with Federal, State, and Local Water & Waste Management regulations and Arconic expectations to assure plant compliance, especially as they relate to The Clean Water Act, The Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorization Act (SARA), the Susquehanna River Basin Commission.  
  • Develop new courses of action as needed to address problems and program deficiencies.
  • Manage time of Environmental Technician to achieve specific environmental goals and objectives.
  • Preparing and submitting in a timely fashion all required reports, documents, samples and data required to agencies to meet regulatory compliance obligations, including reports for signature by the Director of Operations.
  • Defining, developing and maintaining appropriate studies, programs and databases that will provide plant and corporate management with pertinent knowledge of environmental impact and the basis for prevention/corrective actions.
  • Providing communication and training to local plant management that will ensure all levels of plant personnel understand their role and functions for identifying and resolving environmental issues, complying environmental regulations, and minimizing civil and criminal exposure of the plant, business unit, and corporate personnel for plant environmental events and activities.
     
Basic Qualifications 
  • BS in Environmental Sciences or a related field 
  • 3 years of environmental experience 
Preferred Qualifications 
  • 5 years of environmental experience; preferably in work related to air 
  • Master's in Environmental Science or a related field
