Job Description

Support Center - Irving

We are seeking an experienced and analytical eCommerce Planning Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for forecasting for our E-commerce portfolio, collaborating across departments to align strategies with financial goals and market trends. Additionally, the eCommerce Planning Analyst will oversee site-wide reporting initiatives, manage the coupon execution process and perform detailed analysis to support business objectives. This roll will require familiarity with building databases, dashboards and queries. Candidate should have experience in building pricing models & analyzing large amounts of data as well as the ability to share and communicate to a broad audience.

Forecasting and Planning

  • Collaborate across the organization with E-Commerce Managers, Marketing Teams, and Finance to develop accurate sales & margin forecasts for the e-commerce portfolio
  • Work closely with Finance to align on forecasting strategies
  • Build out forecasts by department (1P, dropship) as well as forecast KPIs by day (Traffic, Orders, Revenue, Margin)
  • Utilize historical sales data, market trends, and insights from partners to forecast product sales for the e-commerce channel
  • Engage with E-Commerce and Marketing teams to understand promotional activities, product launches, and market trends
  • Work with the E-Commerce team to understand platform dynamics, sales patterns, and customer behavior
  • Utilize analytics tools to analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to financial targets, and e-commerce performance
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance forecasting processes, cross-functional collaboration, and overall efficiency
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to make informed decisions and adjustments to forecasts

Sitewide Analysis, Reporting, and Execution

  • Provide weekly and ad hoc reporting for the US and Canadian websites
  • Provide roll-up reporting for online programs and initiatives - Christmas Tree, Reclass reporting
  • Oversee coupon execution process 
  • Analyze 1P, Dropship & marketplace portfolios to understand profitability matrix and make recommendations to drive profitability

Pricing Analysis

  • Review competitive pricing and make recommendations to drive sales and profitability growth for dropship portfolio
  • Provide ecommerce pricing recommendations, deviating from 1P store pricing to drive sales and margin growth 
  • Analyze sales data, customer behavior, and market trends to identify opportunities for pricing optimization
  • Utilize statistical methods and data visualization tools to interpret complex datasets and derive actionable insights
  • Develop and refine pricing strategies based on competitive analysis, product positioning, and market demand
  • Forecast the financial impact of pricing changes on revenue, profit margins, and market share
  • Develop predictive models to assess the sensitivity of pricing decisions to changes in market conditions and consumer behavior
  • Work closely with finance and accounting teams to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial projections

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Pricing, Business Administration, Merchandising, Finance, Mathematics, or related field. Masters degree or relevant certifications a plus. 
  • Analytical Skills: Strong Analytical Skills are essential for this role, including proficiency in Excel, data analysis, and statistical methods. Experience with data visualization tools and software such as SQL, Python, Power BI
  • 2+ years of Retail Experience particularly in pricing, planning, merchandising prefered
  • Ability to learn quickly and work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Adaptability, willingness to learn and ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
