Job Description

The Fel Pro DC Industrial Engineer Intern has a critical support role in gathering information and data for the FP engineer to use in creating dashboards, reports, and analysis for use in cost savings initiatives.

For the 2024 Summer the industrial engineer intern will be working on:

  • Time studies for picking and packing operations in the Fel Pro DC.
  • Slotting optimization of 12k SKUs.
  • 5S Improvements
  • PSIF Completion and Prevention Project
  • General Wave initiatives hygiene
  • Equipment integration into two ERP systems, calibration of stated equipment, and start-up qualification.
  • Visual management of labor standards and DC metrics.

Required Skills

Skills and experience necessary for this role include but are not limited to:

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-based environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Experience with CAD (AutoCAD, Siemens NX, etc.).

Required Experience

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Previous co-op or internship experience preferred.
