Arconic is currently in search of Director, Commercial Finance to join our Rolled Products North America team in Pittsburgh.

Arconic is looking for a Director, Commercial Finance for our Rolled Products North America (RPNA) team. Reporting to the VP of Finance, the Director, Commercial Finance will help drive profitable growth for Arconic by partnering with commercial and business unit leadership.  This is an executive facing role with a high level of exposure to senior leadership, including frequent interaction with the CEO and CFO.  The ideal candidate will possess a blend of analytical ability, intellectual curiosity and strategic thinking and will be able to communicate effectively across different functions within the company.

Primary Responsibilities 
  • Executive communication – partner with commercial leadership to ensure contract proposals outline the request in a clear and concise manner, anticipate key questions from the executive team and are supported by standardized financial and presentation templates. 
  • Project management – coordinate commercial contract pipeline and vetting process through business unit leadership, executive team and Board of Directors as needed; partner with commercial leadership to prepare materials, review in advance and follow up on requests.
  • Analytical and quantitative skills – help business unit leadership optimize portfolio profitability by developing models to assess price and cost structure in key product segments; collaborate with commercial and factory teams as top levers of profitability are identified.
  • Strategic thinking – develop a deep understanding of key end markets like aerospace and automotive and serve as a thought partner to business unit leadership in the assessment of industry trends and the competitive and customer landscape.
Basic Qualifications 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related discipline.
  • 10 years relevant experience in corporate finance; 3 years in a manufacturing company.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
  • This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements.
Preferred Qualifications 
  • Master of Business Administration preferred.
  • Experience in consulting, strategy, or corporate FP&A.
  • Background in commercial finance.
  • Experience with Anaplan and/or Hyperion/EPM
