Job Description

TD SYNNEX is looking for an experienced and self-driven Data Engineer to take our engineering function to the next level. Come and join our efforts in unlocking the value of data through industry-leading data platforms, modern tooling, and exceptional data products.

About the team

You will be part of a European Data Practice center of excellence, which interconnects business needs with exceptional data solutions. We are almost 30 individuals of 9 nationalities with diverse professional and academic backgrounds, including telco, banking, insurance, life sciences, or physics. We tackle problems from following areas:

  • data integrations (inbound and outbound integrations across multitude of systems including ERP, CRM, E-Com platforms, and more),
  • data processing and storage (lake house/feature store spanning over hundreds of data sources),
  • process automation (platform for automating marketing and sales interactions triggered by machine learning and business rules),
  • machine learning (advanced propensity-to-interaction prediction models, piloting interpretable customer churn models, product recommender systems, models estimating delivery times and more),
  • others (web-based application enabling data exploration and discovery).

In this role you will be

  • writing clean, production-ready well-documented code,
  • participating on design, implementation, refactoring, and maintenance of existing and future data products,
  • obsessed with quality and on-time delivery,
  • contributing to development and adoption of best engineering practices,
  • collaborating with both Data Practice peers and business stakeholders within the organization.

This skills & knowledge you bring include

  • 3+ years of data engineering/software engineering or equivalent experience,
  • advanced knowledge of Python, including data processing and analytical libraries,
  • working knowledge of OOP and design patterns,
  • advanced knowledge of SQL,
  • working knowledge of ETL/ELT, RDBMS, and data modeling,
  • proficiency in designing, implementing, and supporting data-intensive applications and solutions in a production environment,
  • hands-on experience with modern lake house architectures (Snowflake) and distributed computing systems (Spark/Databricks),
  • working knowledge of CI/CD, including but not limited to version control, testing, release management, monitoring & operation tracking (Azure DevOps),
  • proactive and self-motivated,
  • sharp business and interpersonal skills, ability to simplify and communicate complex ideas across all levels,
  • attention to details and next-level problem solving skills.
  • experience with MLOps is a plus.
  • BSc/MSc/PhD in Computer Science or another STEM field is a plus.
