As a College Sales Specialist you will drive to retain, grown and gain business primarily servicing and selling to prospective and current businesses within assigned sales territory and manage customer relationships to meet and exceed set sales expectations.  Directly responsible for developing long-term relationships to preserve and grow customer base. 

What You’ll Do Here:

Gain New Business (Primary Focus 60+%)  

  • Core Accountabilities 
    • Builds long-lasting customer relationships. 
    • Generates new business with prospects. 
  • Responsibilities & Duties 
    • Proactively prospects and cultivates customer relationships and grows revenue by achieving activity, prospecting strategy, and pipeline management expectations within assigned territory. 
    • Sells the full portfolio of Lifetouch products including Picture Day, Prestige (Seniors), Yearbook, Commencements, Sports etc. 
    • Utilizes the Company’s CRM tool (i.e., Salesforce) in accordance with established procedures (includes documenting all sales activities within the system). 
    • Maximizes productivity by effective scheduling of appointments and geographic routing 
    • Participates in ongoing training as provided and required by the Company and effectively demonstrates skills post-training. 
    • Attends regularly scheduled sales meeting. 
    • Maintains, completes, and submits paperwork/reports, including weekly sales logs, call reports, account files, account recovery forms in accordance with corporate guidelines. 
    • Keep up with trends, changes, and competitor actions that might affect customer base 
    • Promotes Yearbook and Prestige Lifetouch area product lines to school principals and officials, parent organizations, yearbook advisors, coaches/athletic directors, student groups and administrators. 

Retain & Grow Existing Business (Secondary Focus)  

  • Core Accountabilities 
    • Maintains and strengthens long-lasting relationships with existing customers. 
    • Rebooks business in assigned accounts following company rebooking guidelines. 
    • Leverages existing relationships within current accounts to grow our business by upselling additional products and services into the account.  
  • Responsibilities & Duties  
    • Provides exceptional customer service support to all assigned accounts by building and managing long term relationships with current accounts through regularly scheduled service calls and site visits. 
    • Forecasts and tracks customer account metrics. 
    • Assists with data collection from accounts as required. 
    • Completes accurate sales agreements for orders, including pricing and payment terms in accordance with corporate guidelines. 
    • Service multiple accounts concurrently, ensuring deadlines and needs are met. 
    • Maintains and updates current Yearbook and Prestige product, service, and pricing knowledge; acts as the point of contact and provides quality product, program, and service information to accounts in a timely manner. 
    • Responds to accounts within a timely manner in accordance with corporate standard. 
    • Interviews decision-makers to ensure customer satisfaction and identify areas for improvement (where applicable) and provides follow-up with host to ensure their satisfaction. 

The Skills You’ll Bring:

    • Minimum of 5 years of proven sales experience; or equivalent combination of education and training. 
    • Strong (verbal and written) communication skills with an ability to build relationships 
    • Excellent listening, presentation, and negotiation abilities 
    • Good time-management skills with a problem solving, action oriented & results driven approach 
    • The ability to self-manage, prioritize initiatives, and work well in a team environment 
    • Highly organized and having a high level of attention to detail 
    • Work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, demanding environment 
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office product suite 
    • Possess a valid U.S. or Canadian (dependent on country of work)  driver’s license with full use of dependable, insured automobile 
    • Ability to travel 
    • CRM proficiency:  Lifetouch salespeople run their business on Salesforce.com so we highly value your experience in using CRM to plan, study and execute in your territory 
    • Consultative Selling:  Lifetouch teaches Sandler Selling as our customer-centric language and highly values your experience with any consultative sales training program
