Job Description

DC-Alliance

The Coach in Training “CIT” will be assigned an area of operational responsibility and will partner with operational leadership to gain exposure and training throughout the entire DC Operations. The CIT will also be assigned support function partners in areas such as Loss Prevention, Maintenance and Human Resources.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Track, compile and analyze reports, data and statistics relative to assigned area of responsibility.  This data includes but is not limited to safety, volume, productivity, accuracy, root cause analysis and project management deliverables. 
  • Ensure compliance to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). 
  • Assist in development and implementation of new SOPs.
  • Partner with assigned trainers and peers to execute both local and network initiatives.
  • Effective utilization of warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Deliver daily verbal and written communication that provides clear direction, assistance and support to both subordinates and peers.
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of training/development of associates in non-exempt positions.
  • Ensure a safe working environment through education, safety awareness and training.
  • Build and foster a workplace environment based on respect and professionalism.

General Requirements:

  • Good organizational skills including the ability to enter, transcribe, record, store and maintain information in both written and electronic form.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal formats.
  • Good public speaking skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Good interpersonal and team building skills.
  • Flexibility to work all shifts and weekends as business needs dictate.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year supervisory experience
  • Some college
