Job Description

The Client Solutions Executive is an outside sales revenue generating position between our client television stations and their customers, the advertising agencies. This role is responsible for generating the maximum amount of business for the client TV stations, across existing and new business opportunities. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO: 

  • Proactively prospect, qualify, grow, and maintain account list 
  • Meet and exceed a quarterly sales quota by selling advertising solutions 
  • Drive advertising revenue through direct sales (prospecting, closing new business and managing renewals) within account list 
  • Build strategic agency and client-side relationships to secure revenue growth and build credibility in the marketplace 
  • Identify, understand and communicate trends within client markets and industries 
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships 
  • Ability to listen well to client needs and develop advertising programs that exceed their expectations 
  • Think creatively, sell strategically, multitask and communicate efficiently both internally and externally 
  • Ability to manage sales pipeline and project sales on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis 
  • Communicate effectively internally with Sales Planner and Sales Managers, as well as externally with stations and advertisers to anticipate needs and manage expectations 
  • Be organized, operate with sense of urgency.  

WHAT YOU WILL BRING: 

  • Four-year college degree preferred. 
  • Prior experience as an Account Executive at a TV Rep firm or prior local TV advertising sales preferred. (Minimum of 1-2 years) 
  • Strong proactive, self-motivated work style 
  • Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships. 
  • Great attention to detail and strong follow-through. 
  • Show initiative, anticipate problems, and offer solutions. 
  • Exhibit effective written and verbal communication. 
  • Proficiency with computer applications like Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. 
  • Ability to operate successfully with a sense of urgency. 
  • Excellent outside sales and people skills
