Job Summary

• Responsible for helping the Golf Professional Staff with coordinating the play-day’s with all of the golf associations using Golf Genius.
• Supervise and manage the outside operations team exceeding the members and guests expectations.
• Assist members and guests by greeting and welcoming them in a professional and courteous manner and ensuring that every step of their golf experience at the club runs as smoothly and is as enjoyable as possible.
• Answer telephones to take future starting time reservations and answer any questions that the members or guests might have in a professional manner.
• Assist with the responsibility of managing, opening, closing, and securing golf shop and storage areas.
• Accurately operate point of sale system, verify the accuracy of charges to members accounts and guests on all sales tickets.
• Sell merchandise and become fully knowledgeable in all of the golf shop products and sales techniques. Anticipate the needs of members and guests and offer appropriate merchandise or alternatives.
• Keep golf shop supplies current (scorecards, tees, pencils, etc.), help with club repairs, maintain club’s handicap system; ensure pace of play standard is maintained.
• Effective communication with staff, members, and Senior Management.
• Be informed of and promote all Club activities and services, including selling and managing tournaments, and other special events (scheduling, directing, and utilizing staff to perform necessary functions to provide successful tournaments and special events).
• Direct and guide staff, according to Invited and PGA Standards to promote golf clinics, private lessons, and adult, junior and senior programs, and assist, as necessary, to ensure member satisfaction and that Club Standards are met. Also have the ability to teach and provide instruction.

Experience

• Experience using Word, Excel, Publisher, and Golf Genius tournament software.
• PGA Associate Level 1 or looking to begin the PGA program.
• Customer service experience. Expanded Golf Knowledge.
• Proven track record of team management, organizational and coaching skills.
• Experience with tee sheets and inventory systems.
